I am so excited that I have opened my very own, very modest little Etsy Shop, also called A Delightful Waste of Time!
To celebrate, I am offering 10% off all orders until February 28! Just use the coupon code: grandopening when you check out!
Almost as long as I've been selling my handmade goods to my friends and family, I've wanted to try my hand at selling them online. In fact, I started my Etsy shop nearly 4 years ago... that's right - before I even started blogging! And then I chickened out, and never posted any listings.
Today is the day I finally gather all my courage, take the plunge and call it OPEN!
I invited some of my favourite people to help me open my shop, so today I'm hosting a little blog hop to celebrate!
In case you get sidetracked while hopping, here is the list:
Wida Miller - Beachorado
Laurie Willison - Soapbox Creations
Elena Roussakis - JustME Prints
Laura Bassen - Doublestick Heaven
Yeah, I know - I'm pretty humbled that these *amazing* ladies all said yes!!
The girls were each sent a sample of some of the crinkly seam binding I have for sale, as well as my very first crafting kit. They've each created some pretty amazing projects to share with you, and it's such a thrill for me to see them put some things I love to good use!
My shop will mainly be a place for me to share my handmade cards, maybe some tags... I love to assemble kits, so here and there I'll list some of those (if you guys like them!), and possibly even the odd vintage item I find and want to share - who knows how it might evolve?
The first kit I'm offering is called Love Notes. Yes, I know I'm way late for all the Valentines out there, but I kind of think we should celebrate those we love on any old day - not just in Feburary! Regardless, there's a felt heart in the kit, and that inspired the name for me.
This kit is $7 (all prices are Canadian) and a full description is available in the shop listing. It includes everything you see here, and can be used any which way you like. Just some fun things I gathered because I thought they looked pretty together!
Here is what I made using this kit:
I used the vintage time card (they're so FUN!) to use as my base, and stamped the floral pattern right onto it. I love how it turned out! I used some spray mist on the doily that comes in the kit so that it blended with my colours a little better. The bow, wool trim and stick pins are also included in the kit, as are the sequins that I used as accents.
You can visit my shop by clicking on the widget in my side bar. I have a few other things for sale while I get my feet wet and figure the whole thing out. Do bear with me, as I am learning as I go!
Now, please make sure you hop along to the other girls and see what they did with these kits!
From here, you'll visit Wida!
